Terms & Conditions

RECEPTION HOURS: Our reception is open from 7:30AM to 7:30PM Winter Weekdays – 7:30AM to 8:30PM Summer Weekdays, and 8:30AM to 7:00PM weekends.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES: Guests may check-in from 2:00PM on the day of arrival. CHECK-OUT is 10:00AM on the day of departure. Early check-in and /or late check-out is by arrangement and may incur an extra charge.

LATE ARRIVAL:  If you will be arriving after hours, we can arrange a lock-box for you. Please contact reception for instruction.

PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS: All accounts are payable upon ARRIVAL. We reserve the right to charge overdue/recovery fees on all accounts not paid by due date. CREDIT CARD details are required, whether you have pre-paid online or not.

CREDIT CARD DETAILS: Credit card details are required to secure the bookings, for the security of any unpaid accounts, and for any unforeseen damages only. Please note that cards may be pre-authorised.

SMOKING: Smoke free complex. Please smoke outside away from open windows, doors and other guests. In the event of someone having smoked in the room we will engage a specialist cleaning company. We reserve the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest.

BATHROOM HEATERS:  Bathroom heaters are NOT to be left on overnight. Guests are responsible for any call out fees for fire alarms. Note: a Call out fee for unnecessary fire alarms is approximately $1000NZ from New Zealand Fire Department.

COOKING:  For the comfort of other future guests no strong cooking odours such as curry or fish are allowed – Doors/windows to be open while cooking.  Guest will incur any cost associated with extra cleaning from specialist cleaning companies.

VISITORS: Permitted at management’s discretion, and must be reported to reception. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and costs associated with inappropriate behaviour resulting in loss of income to the motel, will be charged to the registered guest. No parties are tolerated.  All visitors are to vacate the motel complex by 10:00pm.

PETS – no pets allowed.

CHANGES TO RESERVATION: Any change in reservation term will be treated as a new booking and additional charges may apply. Any extension to a booking is subject to availability of rooms. Earlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund unless the motel management approve and are able to re-let the booked accommodation.

EXTRA GUEST CHARGE: After 2 persons (rack rate charge), extra guests are $25 per person per night – this includes all children.

GROUP QUOTES: Please contact the Dunedin Palms Motel for group bookings and quotes. Some terms and conditions may vary for groups. All information and terms and conditions for group quotes are supplied at time of quote – terms are slightly different for group quotes.

MOTEL INFORMATION: We endeavour to maintain a high standard in our motel. All rooms are fully cleaned upon the rooms being vacated. Rooms are serviced daily for guests staying more than one night. If you find something not up to standard, we would be most grateful if you you would let reception know immediately.
